I have set my "Exchange Notifications" subscription as follows, but get no
email alerts:

Groups:
All Computers in Management Pack: Microsoft Exchange 2007
MS Exchange 2007 All Servers Computer Group
MS Exchange 2007 Client Access Servers Computer Group
MS Exchange 2007 Hub Transport Servers Computer Group
MS Exchange 2007 Mailbox Servers - CMS and Physical Computers Group
MS Exchange 2007 Mailbox Servers - Physical Computers Group
MS Exchange 2007 Mailbox Servers Computer Group

Classes:
All Classes

Alert Criteria:
Everything is checked.

Alert Aging
Do not notify

In Formats, I override the default with the additional words "Exchange alert"

As i say, I get no email notifications.

If I change Groups to show all checked I get alerts, but I want ONLY
Exchange alerts from this subscription.

What am I missing?

Thanks

Hello Karl,

Is there any machines in those groups? Try all groups and instead only some
exchange classes.

Anders;

When I am in Alert view, I can change the scope to Microsoft Exchange 2007
Hub Transport Servers, and my alerts show up, so I assume it's in the groups
I selected?

Nevertheless, I switched to all groups, and only the Exchange 2007 Hub
Transport class, and I closed my alert "Failure DSNs Total - increase over 60
minutes - Red(>40) - Hub"

I still don't get email.

Hello Anders;

I had already tried both
All alert for all machines within a group and
All alerts for a specified technology

Neither one is working.

If I scope alerts to "All Computers in Management Pack: Microsoft Exchange
2007", I see the alerts, so the subscription set to "Microsoft Exchange 2007
all servers." should send mail, but it's not.

I have all the boxes in Alert Criteris checked.

Hello Karl,

If you use a converted exchange MP the alerts are generated by the Windows
Computer object and not to the Exchange Server classes presented in the Exchange
2007 MP, that might be your root cause.

Hello Anders,

OK, so how do I fix it?

Does this require that my subscribors to Windows alerts receive all Exchange
alerts?

Hello Karl,

I dont have a lab with exchange here, but if you change the class to windows
computer instead your exchange admins will get a lot more then exchange. If
you then add your exchange machines into a group and filter on that group
they will only get alerts from your exchange machines. When you are there,
you could start try add exchange objects to the group instead and see if
you can filter based on that. So windows computer as class and then exchange
objects in the group.

Hello Anders,

That's the first thing I tried - groups all that mention Exchange, and ALL
classes - not one single alert.

Right now I am setting it to all groups and all classes and I will wait for
the native management pack.
